We are thrilled to share that OBSERVE will be part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2025, in a policy session jointly hosted by eu.bac and EPB Center:

The session will bring together policymakers, industry experts, and national associations to discuss how to make the EPBD a reality on the ground with practical tools, compliance mechanisms, and collaborative strategies.

🎯 OBSERVE’s contribution
Sophie Dourlens-Quaranta (R2M Solution France) will present how the project supports the development of interoperable national building stock databases, ensuring Member States can efficiently align with the EU Building Stock Observatory and broader EPBD goals.

Expect expert insights, open dialogue, and interactive elements such as live polls and a campfire-style discussion.

From EPC to Smart Readiness: SmarterEPC methodology is now a training for assessors

The revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is changing the role of building energy assessments. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are expected to become more accurate, more reliable and better connected with other assessment tools supporting building renovation and smart technologies.
Achieving this requires more than updated calculation methods. It also depends on the quality and consistency of the information collected during on-site inspections.
This is where the SmarterEPC beta training comes in.

Croatia moves towards a National Building Stock Observatory
