DHC SwEEtch is a pioneering project dedicated to transforming urban district heating and cooling (DHC) systems across Europe.
By providing essential technical support, the project enables DHC operators to design effective decarbonization roadmaps through 2050 and develop actionable investment plans for the coming decade.
With initial case studies in Italy, Poland, and Croatia, DHC SwEEtch is helping DHC networks integrate renewable energy and waste heat sources such as biomass, solar thermal, geothermal, and storage solutions. By 2025, five more networks will be selected through an open call, enabling a total of ten DHC networks to benefit from the project’s guidance.
DHC SwEEtch is also dedicated to community-building through outreach, training, and collaboration initiatives, empowering stakeholders with the skills and connections to foster sustainable energy solutions.
DHC SwEEtch launches its first webinar to present methodologies, tools and early results supporting the decarbonisation of district heating and cooling networks across Europe. Discover insights from real case studies and future perspectives for the sector.
