📣 After a great week at #SP25, we keep the pace !

💡OBSERVE will have a spot in the exhibition area during the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) joint event in Brussels on 22 October 2025, a twin event gathering EU projects, experts, and policymakers to discuss how smart technologies are transforming Europe’s building stock.

Organised by the European Commission (DG ENER) and CINEA, together with several LIFE projects (easySRI, SmartSquare, SRI2MARKET, tunES, and more), the event will focus on :

SRI implementation progress across EU Member States
Policy support and tools developed through LIFE projects
Synergies between SRI and EPC schemes for smarter, more efficient buildings

From EPC to Smart Readiness: SmarterEPC methodology is now a training for assessors

The revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is changing the role of building energy assessments. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are expected to become more accurate, more reliable and better connected with other assessment tools supporting building renovation and smart technologies.
Achieving this requires more than updated calculation methods. It also depends on the quality and consistency of the information collected during on-site inspections.
This is where the SmarterEPC beta training comes in.

Croatia moves towards a National Building Stock Observatory

Work carried out within the OBSERVE project is supporting Croatia in developing a more integrated, reliable and accessible building data ecosystem.
